Cue points

  • What the content or source is
  • When you found or experienced it
  • What it is about and what stood out
  • Explain why it affected or interested you

Plan your answer

  • Spend the preparation minute noting keywords, not full sentences.
  • Open with a direct introduction.
  • Develop two or three details with a concrete example.
  • Finish by explaining why the topic matters to you.

Preparation notes

  • Write 4–6 keywords
  • Order events or ideas logically
  • Leave space for one example

Useful vocabulary

  • well-presented
  • thought-provoking
  • reliable source
  • held my attention
  • gave me a new perspective

Self-check

  • Did I cover the cue points?
  • Did I develop one specific example?
  • Did I explain why the experience matters to me?
